Day 2: Drive to Kilimanjaro National Park (Marangu Gate) – Hike to Mandara Hut
After breakfast and a trek briefing, you will drive to Kilimanjaro National Park’s Marangu Gate, where registration begins. The climb starts through lush rainforest on the way to Mandara Hut. A detour to Maundi Crater offers a stunning view of Northern Tanzania and Kenya. Along the way, you may spot towering eucalyptus trees, diverse birdlife, and colobus monkeys.

After taking in incredible views, Descend to Kibo for lunch and continue to Horombo Hut for the night. This section, especially in the dark and cold, is the toughest of the trek and requires determination.
