Nyungwe Forest National Park, located in the southwestern region of Rwanda, is a gem of biodiversity and natural beauty. Spanning over 1,000 square kilometers, this ancient rainforest is one of Africa's oldest and most preserved, offering a sanctuary for a remarkable variety of flora and fauna. The park is renowned for its dense canopy, towering mahogany trees, and vibrant wildlife.


Nyungwe is a primate paradise, home to 13 species, including a significant population of chimpanzees and large troops of colobus monkeys. Visitors can embark on guided treks to observe these fascinating creatures in their natural habitat. The park's rich biodiversity extends to over 300 bird species, making it a haven for bird watchers. Iconic species such as the Great Blue Turaco and the Red-collared Mountain Babbler can be spotted in the lush greenery.


One of the park's standout attractions is the Canopy Walkway, a suspended bridge 50 meters above the forest floor, offering breathtaking views and a unique perspective on the rainforest.
