Your adventure begins in Kigali, where you'll have a night to relax after your international flight. The next morning, we will drive to nyungwe National Park for a two-night safari at One & Only Nyungwe House Lodge. You will have a chance to track chimps and do canopy walk in this park.


Afterward, we will journey to Volcanoes National Park in the northwest for a two-night stay surrounded by its breathtaking forest. Here, you'll have the thrilling opportunity to track mountain gorillas. If you're keen, you can add extra nights to your itinerary for another gorilla trek or to track the golden monkeys before we return to Kigali.

Day 1: Welcome to Kigali, Rwanda

You will be met by the Mond Safaris team on arrival at Kigali International Airport and transferred to your hotel. If you arrive in the morning, we can arrange for a city tour exploring the beauty of Kigali which is believed to be one of the top cleanest cities in Africa.

The canopy walk offers breathtaking views and opportunities for birdwatching and primate sightings.


One Day 3 after breakfast at the lodge, head out into the Montagne forest in search of these treasured primates. These are our closest living relatives and time with them in the forest allows you to watch the interaction between one another. The forest is also home to a variety of other primates so your guide will also point out the delightful L’Hoest’s monkey and numerous fun-loving troops of Black and White Colobus. Head back to the One & Only Lodge to relax after your exciting day.

One & Only Nyungwe House:

Located on the outskirts of Nyungwe Forest National Park amid a tea plantation, the upscale One&Only Nyungwe House offers easy access to chimpanzees, monkeys, and more. The accommodation is spread across five pods on the forest's edge, away from the main building which features walls of glass, seamlessly blending the indoors with the outdoors. Activities focus on hiking rather than typical Jeep safaris, sometimes involving steep slopes. Day 4- 6: Exploring Volcanoes National Park


After breakfast at the lodge, you will have a scenic drive through the Volcanoes National Park. Rwanda is known for its incredibly rich and green landscapes. Enjoy driving through Rwanda's landscapes, as well as the smaller towns on route. Once you arrive at Volcanoes National Park, check into your Lodge where you will stay for the next three days enjoying yourself in the natural beauty of the park and go on a thrilling mountain gorilla trekking expedition.



On the 5th and 6th day, you will go mountain gorilla trekking, After an early breakfast at Bisate Lodge, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for a safety briefing about the dos and don'ts during trekking. You will be led by an experienced ranger/guide who will lead the way through the forest. We strongly advise hiring a porter for the hike. porters are local people who will assist in carrying your bags or camera equipment, and help you walk through any difficult terrain. The small amount that you pay goes a long way for them and their community. Once you meet a gorilla family, you will be able to spend one magic hour observing them. Take as many pictures as you can, After this amazing experience with these gentle giants, Return to the lodge for relaxation and enjoy the amazing views around.
