Trekking gorillas in Uganda needs some fitness since you trek through the dense forests of the Bwindi National park, you'll be guided by experienced trackers to locate one of the habituated gorilla families. Upon finding them, you'll have the incredible opportunity of 1 hour to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat, watching them playing is a humbling and moving experience that leaves a lasting impression on visitors.



How old do you need to be to see gorillas in Uganda?

To see gorillas in Uganda, visitors must be at least 15 years and above. This age requirement is in place to ensure the safety of both the visitors and the gorillas, as trekking through the dense forest can be physically demanding.



What to carry for Gorilla Trekking and entire Safari

Yellow Fever Certificate: Required for entry into Uganda and Tanzania.

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by the Mond Safaris team and transferred to your luxury hotel. Take the rest of the day to relax and unwind, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of Rwanda's capital city.

Day 2-4: Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast in the morning, Start your drive to Volcanoes National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Check into your lodge and spend the afternoon at leisure, admiring the stunning views or visiting the gorilla guardian village for a cultural experience. Over the next two days, prepare for thrilling gorilla tracking adventures, trekking through the lush forest in search of these incredible primates. Each trek gives a unique opportunity to observe different gorilla families in their natural habitat.


On Day 4, after trekking with the gorillas, we will drive back to Kigali and spend the night at The Marriott Kigali, preparing for our flight to the Serengeti.

Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your accommodation, check in, and relax, you may go for a game drive if time permits and Spend the next three days exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti on thrilling game drives, seeking out the Big Five and witnessing the spectacle of the annual wildebeest migration.
