Day 1: Pick up, Transfer to Sipi Falls and Hiking
Pick up from your Kampala residence / hotel very early at 6:00am in the morning. Head East through trading centers, tea & sugarcane plantations, Mabira forest, roadside markets and major towns for example Jinja, Iganga and Mbale before reaching Kapchorwa – The home of Sipi Falls. The drive can take you 5 -7 hours, you then arrive, check in and have lunch.
Sipi Falls is a series of three waterfalls in Eastern Uganda in the district of Kapchorwa, northeast of Sironko and Mbale. The waterfalls lie on the edge of Mount Elgon National Park near the Kenyan border and the area is often the starting point for hikes up Mt. Elgon.
The sipi falls local guide welcomes you and you begin your interesting hike and abseiling adventures. There is a route which starts in Budadiri and follows the Sasa trail to the summit and then descends down the Sipi trail back into the Sipi falls. Hikes around the falls offer fantastic views of the Karamoja plains, Lake Kyoga, and the slopes of Mt. Elgon.
Visiting these waterfalls is a 7km hike that is full of steep ascents and descents, ladders, and farms. The third Sipi Falls is steep and muddy. It offers stunning views of cultivated western slopes of mountain Elgon. It is 85m tall, given the height, the vigor of its flow spews mist which as a result faint rainbows are seen from the partial sunlight that breaks through the over cast skies. After the hike, head to your lodge of preference for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Coffee Tour – Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe
On this beautiful day you will wake up very early in the morning and have an African breakfast before going on a coffee tour. Learn how to prepare your own coffee from the garden to the cup. The coffee tour gives you the chance to learn the process behind making this coffee.
Talk to the farmers, see the plantations and then roast your own coffee to take home with you. After this awesome experience you will be driven to the airport or to your hotel and this marks the end of 2 Days Hiking Sipi Falls Tour.
