Day 1 of 5-Day best African safaris for families: Arrival in Kigali, Rwanda
Welcome to Rwanda on a 5-Day best African safaris for families! Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be greeted by mond safaris representative and transferred to your accommodation in Kigali. After settling in, you’ll start your day by visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a poignant and important site to learn about Rwanda’s history. Next, you’ll explore the bustling Kimironko Market, where you can experience the vibrant local culture and maybe pick up some souvenirs. Later in the day, you’ll depart for Akagera National Park. Day 2: Akagera National Park – Morning Game Drive and Boat Safari
Early in the morning, after a delicious breakfast, you’ll embark on an exciting morning game drive in Akagera National Park. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and numerous bird species. An experienced guide will accompany you, providing insights into the park’s ecosystem and helping you spot the animals. After the game drive, return to your lodge for a leisurely lunch.
In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat safari on Lake Ihema. The lake offers an excellent opportunity to observe hippos, crocodiles, and a diversity of birdlife up close. After the boat safari, head back to your lodge for another comfortable overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park (Uganda)
After breakfast, you’ll leave Rwanda behind and start your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda. The drive will take approximately 6-7 hours, but you’ll be rewarded with stunning scenery along the way. Upon reaching the park, check-in to your accommodation and take some time to relax and unwind in the beautiful surroundings.

Day 4 of 5-Day best African safaris for families – Morning Game Drives and Afternoon Boat Cruise
The day begins with an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This park is famous for its diverse wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and various antelope species. Your knowledgeable guide will do their best to ensure you have the best sightings possible.
After the morning game drive, return to the lodge for a hearty lunch and a chance to rest.
In the afternoon, head out for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, a waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This cruise provides another opportunity to see hippos, crocodiles, and a myriad of water birds along the shoreline. After the boat cruise, return to your lodge for a comfortable overnight stay.

Day 5 of 5-Day best African safaris for families: Departure
After breakfast, it’s time to say goodbye to the stunning landscapes and wildlife of Uganda. You’ll be transferred back to either Kampala or Entebbe International Airport for your departure. If time permits, you can explore some of the nearby attractions before your flight.
