ITINERARY DETAILS

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali Rwanda capital & Transfer to the Hotel

Upon your arrival at the Kigali International Airport, you will be met by Mond safaris tour guide who will transfer you to your hotel. You will spend the rest of the day at leisure, settling in and relaxing.

Day 2: Visit Rwanda genocide and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, you will go get pcr tests and proceed to the Genocide Memorial and learn about the history of the genocide that took place in Rwanda in 1994. Later on, you will transfer to Volcanoes National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas.

Day 3: Golden Monkey and Iby’iwacu Cultural Village

Today, you will trek through the bamboo forests of Volcanoes National Park in search of the playful golden monkeys. After the trek, you will visit the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village and learn about the traditional way of life of the Rwandan people.

Day 4: Transfer to Rushaga and Batwa Experience

After breakfast, you will transfer crossing a boarder to Bwindi Rushaga sector in Uganda. In the evening, you will have a cultural experience with the Batwa pygmies, learning about their traditional way of life.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi National Park

Today is the day you have been waiting for!  After an early breakfast, you will head to briefing center for a briefing about gorilla trekking activity and later on head into the forest searching for gorillas. You will spend an hour with the gorillas once you find them, observing and learning about their behavior in their natural habitat.

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Evening Game Drive

After breakfast, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. In the evening, you will go on a game drive in the park, where you will have the chance to see elephants, lions, hyenas, buffaloes, and other wildlife.

Day 7: Lion Experiential and Afternoon Boat Safari at Kazinga Channel

In the morning, you will embark with Lion experiential in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This unique experience allows you to learn about the park’s conservation efforts and get a chance get closer to these majestic predators in their natural habitat. In the afternoon, you will take a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel, where you can spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species.

Day 8: Transfer to Kibale National Park
