Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth and Evening Game Drive
Your safari adventure begins with an early morning pick up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe, where you will meet mond safaris driver/guide. The journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park takes approximately 7 hours, with a stopover at the equator for some photo opportunities.
Once you arrive at the park, you will check into your accommodation and have lunch. In the late afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the park. This is the perfect time to spot some of the park’s most iconic wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, hyenas, buffaloes, and several antelope species. Keep your camera ready, and don’t forget to enjoy the beautiful scenery that surrounds you.
Later in the evening, return to your accommodation for dinner and a well-deserved rest.
Day 2: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Boat at Kazinga
Wake up early to start your day with a morning game drive. This is the best time to see predators on the hunt, and also the best time to catch a glimpse of the shy leopard. The game drive will take you to the northern part of the park, where you will have a chance to see some of the park’s less common wildlife, such as the Uganda kob, topi, and waterbuck.
After the game drive, return to your accommodation for lunch before embarking on an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. The boat cruise takes you through a 32-kilometer waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Along the way, you will see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and several bird species. later return to your lodge and have dinner.
Day 3: Return to Entebbe Airport
On your final day, wake up to a leisurely breakfast before packing up and departing for Entebbe airport. The drive back takes approximately 7 hours, with a stopover at the equator for some last-minute souvenir shopping and a chance to stretch your legs. You will arrive at the airport in the late afternoon, where you can catch your flight back home or to your next destination.
