Detailed itinerary for a 2-day Uganda wildlife safari tour in Murchison Falls
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls
Your wildlife safari adventure begins with an early morning departure from Kampala, the capital of Uganda. You will be picked up by Mond safaris experienced guide/driver, and embark on a scenic drive to Murchison Falls National Park. The drive takes approximately 5-6 hours, and along the way, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Ugandan countryside, with its rolling hills, lush vegetation, and local villages.
Upon arrival at Murchison Falls National Park, you will check-in to your lodge and have some time to relax and refresh before the day’s activities begin. After lunch, you will head out for a thrilling boat cruise on the Nile River, one of the highlights of the safari tour. During the boat cruise, you will have the chance to spot a wide variety of wildlife, including hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a plethora of bird species. The boat will take you to the base of the majestic Murchison Falls, where the Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge and plunges down in a thunderous waterfall, creating a spectacular sight that you won’t want to miss.
Later after the boat safari, embark on an evening hike to the Top of the Falls. When you reach the top, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the falls and the surrounding landscape. This is a perfect spot to capture some amazing photos and immerse yourself in.
